2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cabernet Sauvignon vines were the first vines planted at our Cerro Santo estate vineyard, and are grown on their own roots, making them perfectly true to their French heritage. We took cuttings from one of the oldest vineyards on the Texas High Plains, so these grapes also have a long Texas pedigree. They produced a rich and full-bodied wine with aromas of bell pepper and spice, followed by lovely blackberry and vanilla flavors. Pair this classic wine with a hearty burger, sharp cheddar, and semi-sweet dark chocolate.

Our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon won a Gold medal at the Lone Star International Wine Competition in 2020, and won Silver in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, against many California Cabernet Sauvignons.
